The AirTAC Airtac GF Air Filters (G) GF30008 is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with PT1/4" ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The GF30008 is an AirTAC GF300 air filter, a filtration-only unit that removes water and particulate from compressed air. This configuration has a PT1/4 (1/4 in) port, the standard 40 um filter element, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically when the pressure differential across the element rises. The maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and the polycarbonate bowl carries a mounting bracket as standard.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GF family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of ports, PT, G or NPT threads, manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, and an optional 5 um element (code W) in place of the standard 40 um. Flow is published only as catalogue curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed on the compressed air drop feeding a CNC machining centre, it strips water and pipe-scale from the supply line before air reaches the machine's pneumatic valves and tool-clamp circuit. The differential-pressure drain keeps condensate moving without daily manual blowing down.
Mounted ahead of the valve manifold on a carton-sealing or case-packing conveyor, it removes moisture and debris that would otherwise score cylinder bores and stick spool valves during multi-shift running.
Fitted at the point where a workshop ring main drops to individual air-tool stations, it keeps rust particles and accumulated water out of impact wrenches, grinders and blow guns, with the bracket holding the unit secure at the bench.
Choose the GF size and port by stepping up from 200 to 600 as your air demand grows - the 300 size with a 1/4 in port suits general machine and tool supply lines. Decide the drain first: differential-pressure (this unit) needs no attention at normal duty, automatic (code A) suits unattended installations, and manual (code M) gives operator control. Keep the standard 40 um element for general air prep, or specify W for 5 um where finer protection is needed. Threads are PT as standard with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options, and a bracket is included (code J omits it). Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes filter flow only as pressure-drop curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Tell us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for the GF300 at 1/4 in on request before you order.
The standard differential-pressure drain releases collected condensate automatically when the pressure difference across the 40 um element builds up, so it suits normal duty with steady air supply. Choose code A for fully automatic draining in unattended installations, or code M for manual draining where an operator blows the bowl down as part of a routine.
