The AirTAC Airtac GF Filter GF300C08MJW is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with See datasheet ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The GF300C08MJW is a genuine AirTAC G-series air filter for compressed air only - it removes water and particulate, with no regulation and no lubrication. This 300-size unit has a 1/4" PT port, a manual drain for scheduled blowdown of the polycarbonate bowl, and the W suffix selects the finer 5 um filter element in place of the 40 um standard grade. The J suffix means no mounting bracket is supplied, so the unit is mounted on your own panel or manifold. Manual-drain GF units operate at an inlet pressure of 0-0.9 MPa (0-130 psi).
The GF300 family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8" to 1", a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um (W) elements, and optional G (BSPP) or NPT threads; the non-J version includes a bracket. Flow is published only as curves - ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures and sizing on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| C0 | Port size See datasheet. This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a lab automation platform with pneumatic pipetting and plate-handling modules, the GF300C08MJW's 5 um element polishes the 1/4" branch feeding sensitive actuator modules, and the manual drain is emptied during the daily start-up check.
At an in-line dimensional gauging station on a production line, clean dry air is needed for air-jet part cleaning before measurement; the 5 um element and manual-drain bowl are serviced at the start of each shift.
In a small paint touch-up booth, filtered air at the gun whip-line keeps particulate out of the finish; this bracketless unit hangs on the booth's own filter panel with a 1/4" PT feed and is drained by the operator after each session.
Pick your size (200/300/400/600) for port and flow; this unit is 300 size on a 1/4" PT connection. Use the manual drain where an operator drains the bowl on a routine; otherwise specify A (automatic) or the blank differential-pressure type. Choose the element deliberately: the 40 um standard grade suits general plant air, while the 5 um grade fitted here is the option for finer downstream needs. Thread is PT as standard with G and NPT as catalogue options, and J deletes the bracket.
Because flow appears only as curves in the AirTAC catalogue - never as a single rating - send us your conditions and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
There is no single rated flow to quote: AirTAC publishes G-series flow as curves across the working pressure range. Because the 5 um element sits in the flow path, sizing should be checked against those curves - share your pressure and demand and we will confirm the figures from the datasheet on request.
The 40 um element is the default for general plant air; the W suffix fitted here gives 5 um filtration for lines feeding finer air tools, instrumentation or finishing work. The two grades are the only filter options in the G series - other suffixes on this code (M for manual drain, J for no bracket, PT thread) do not change the filtration grade.
