The AirTAC Airtac GF Filter GF300C15JW is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with See datasheet ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The AirTAC GF series is a straight air filter: it removes water and particulate from compressed air only - no pressure regulation and no lubrication. The GF300C15JW is a size 300 unit with a 1/2 inch PT port, the fine 5 um element (the W option), and the default differential-pressure drain, which discharges condensate as the pressure drop across the loaded element rises. The J option means the mounting bracket is not supplied. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, and the size 300 bowl is polycarbonate (PC).
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the G-series line, which spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, and PT, G (BSPP) or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| C1 | Port size See datasheet. This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding valve positioners and pneumatic instruments on a process line, the 5 um element keeps fine particles out of nozzle-flapper and pilot circuits where coarser filtration would not suffice. The differential-pressure drain discharges condensate in step with actual element loading.
In a spray-finishing cell, fine filtration upstream of atomising air prevents water spots and particulate defects in the coating. The clear polycarbonate bowl gives a visible water check, and the 1/2 inch PT port suits booth supply headers.
On a bottle-filling or carton-forming line, the fine 5 um element protects the small internal passages of pick-and-place valve arrays from contamination. The bracketless J configuration mounts directly to machine frame hardware where space is already provisioned.
This is the fine-filtration variant of the 1/2 inch PT size-300 filter: the 5 um W element for lines feeding precision pneumatic components, with the standard 40 um grade available on other GF300 codes where general protection is enough. The differential-pressure drain is the default and reacts to element loading; automatic and manual drain versions exist if your installation prefers them. Size 300 carries the 1/2 inch port; step down to 1/4 or 3/8 inch on smaller flows or up to 3/4 and 1 inch on sizes 400 and 600. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as orderable catalogue options; order a code without the J suffix if you need the bracket.
Because GF-series flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, send us your demand and we will confirm the datasheet sizing against your application before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
We do not quote a single rated flow because AirTAC publishes GF-series performance as curves rather than one figure. Share your line pressure and air consumption with us and we will confirm the correct datasheet curve and size selection on request before you order.
Choose the W-coded 5 um element when the downstream equipment includes precision components - pilot-operated valves, positioners, instruments or finishing equipment - where 40 um particles could cause trouble. For general protection of cylinders and air tools, the standard 40 um GF300 codes do the job and are the usual choice.
