The AirTAC Airtac GF Filter GF400C10A is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with See datasheet ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
GF400C10A is an AirTAC G-series air filter, 400 size, with a PT3/8 female port (PT is the standard thread), an automatic drain bowl and the standard 40 um filter element. The automatic drain expels collected water on its own, so the bowl stays in service without scheduled manual draining. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. This unit filters water and particulate only - there is no pressure regulation and no lubrication in the GF family.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GF range covers 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, 40 um standard or 5 um fine elements, and G (BSPP) or NPT thread options besides the PT standard; a mounting bracket is included. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| C1 | Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a stamping press line's pneumatic clutch and counterbalance circuit drops, the automatic drain expels collected condensate between cycles, so unattended shifts do not leave water sitting in the bowl.
Installed on a drip leg downstream of a shop after-cooler, the GF400C10A catches bulk water and rust particles automatically before the air branches out to the rest of the plant.
Feeding a bottling plant's air-conveyor rail valves and reject pushers, the filter removes condensate automatically, keeping water out of the valves even in wet downstream conditions.
Size 400 with a 3/8 inch PT port covers typical mid-range line duties; step to 300 or 600 if your demand sits either side - we will check the published flow curve with you first. The 40 um element is the standard grade; choose the W code for the 5 um fine element at more sensitive points of use. The A suffix here is the automatic drain, the right pick where bowls are not drained on schedule; manual (M) and differential-pressure versions are the alternatives. Thread here is PT as standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are catalogue options. A mounting bracket is included.
Flow is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes filter flow as curves rather than a single rated number, so we do not state a flow figure on the page. Share your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the flow curve and datasheet for the GF400C10A on request before you order.
Both are 400-size filters with a PT3/8 port and a 40 um element; the A suffix adds an automatic drain that expels collected water on its own, while the C version uses the differential-pressure drain. If operators can drain the bowl on a schedule, the manual-drain M version is the third option. We can help you choose the drain type for your application.
