The AirTAC Airtac GF Filter GF400C10AJ is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with See datasheet ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
GF400C10AJ is an AirTAC G-series air filter in the 400 size with a 3/8 in. PT threaded port. It is a filtration-only unit: it removes water and particulate from compressed air, with no pressure regulation and no lubrication. The automatic drain (code A) discharges collected condensate from the polycarbonate bowl on its own, and the standard 40 um element covers general shop-air duty. The J suffix means this version comes without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GF filter family runs from size 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 in. to 1 in., a choice of default differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, and an optional 5 um element (W). Maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. AirTAC publishes flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm sizing and the full datasheet on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |

Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Conditioning the compressed-air drops along a bottling hall, where the automatic drain clears bowl condensate on shifts nobody walks past.
Filtering the supply air that feeds tool changers, work clamps and chip conveyors on a CNC machining center.
Cleaning the air feeding grinders, impact wrenches and plasma cutters around a welding and fabrication shop.
Match the 400 body and its 3/8 in. PT port to the pipe size and air demand of the drop; 200/300 and 600 sizes exist if the line needs a different step. This unit carries the automatic drain (A), so condensate is expelled without an operator opening the bowl - the alternatives are the default differential-pressure drain and the manual drain. Element grade is the standard 40 um; choose the W variant for 5 um. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available as catalogue options, and J codes such as this one omit the optional mounting bracket. Because flow is published as curves rather than one rated number, tell us your demand and working pressure and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes filter capacity as flow curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one flow number we can quote honestly. Share your line demand and working pressure and we will confirm the correct size from the datasheet on request.
The automatic drain (code A on this model) discharges collected water by itself, which suits unattended or lightly used installations. The default differential-pressure drain relies on the pressure drop across the element to purge, and a manual drain (M) is also available as a catalogue option.
