The AirTAC Airtac GF Filter GF400C10AJW is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with See datasheet ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
GF400C10AJW is an AirTAC G-series air filter in the 400 size with a 3/8 in. PT threaded port. It is a filtration-only unit - it removes water and particulate from compressed air, with no regulator and no lubricator. The W suffix selects the finer 5 um element instead of the standard 40 um, the automatic drain (A) empties the polycarbonate bowl without operator attention, and the J suffix means no mounting bracket is fitted.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GF filter family spans sizes 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 in. to 1 in., drain choices of default differential-pressure, automatic or manual, and element grades of 40 um standard or 5 um optional. Maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm sizing and the datasheet on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| C1 | Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtering the air line that feeds spray guns in a paint or coating booth, where the 5 um element helps keep fine dirt and water out of finish work.
Conditioning the air supplied to vacuum ejectors and cups on a carton case packer, where clean air keeps grip consistent.
Supplying filtered air to pick-and-place cylinders and small actuators on an electronics assembly bench.
Choose this 400-size body with its 3/8 in. PT port when the drop needs a finer 5 um element (W); the standard grade is 40 um if general-duty filtration is enough. The automatic drain (A) keeps the bowl clear without daily visits, with the default differential-pressure drain and a manual drain (M) as the other catalogue choices. Thread is PT as standard; G (BSPP) and NPT versions are options to order, and J codes come without the optional mounting bracket. Step sizes of 200/300/400/600 cover smaller and larger ports. Since AirTAC states flow as curves rather than a single rating, send us your air demand and pressure and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes filter flow as curves against pressure, not as a single rated number, so we cannot honestly quote one figure. Give us your flow demand and working pressure and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet on request.
W selects the optional 5 um filtration grade instead of the 40 um standard element, for applications that need finer particle removal. Everything else in the code stays the same: 400 size, 3/8 in. PT port, automatic drain and no mounting bracket (J).
