The AirTAC Airtac GF Filter GF400C10JW is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with See datasheet ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
GF400C10JW is an AirTAC G-series air filter for compressed air only. It removes water and particulate from the supply line - it does not regulate pressure and does not lubricate. This unit is the 400 size with a PT (RB 3/8in) 3/8in port, fitted with the fine 5 um filter element (the W option instead of the standard 40 um), the default differential-pressure drain, and the J option meaning no mounting bracket. The polycarbonate bowl on the 400 size lets operators see collected condensate at a glance.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G filter family spans 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with ports from 1/8in to 1in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um standard or 5 um fine filtration, and PT, G or NPT thread options. Maximum working pressure for this differential-drain configuration is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); working temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| C1 | Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed on the shop-air drop feeding a CNC machining centre, the 5 um element strips water and fine particulate before they reach spindle clamp solenoids and tool-changer cylinders, with the differential drain passing condensate during flow.
Mounted ahead of the regulator at a paint spray booth, this 3/8in filter keeps oil-free, dry-looking air reaching the spray gun, protecting finish quality from water spotting carried in the compressed-air main.
Fitted on the supply branch serving diverters and pusher cylinders on a packaging conveyor, the GF400C10JW removes condensed water from the header so the J-code bracketless body can be piped directly into the machine's manifold.
Step up or down through the G sizes (200/300/400/600) to match the port and flow path your line needs - here the 400 size gives a 3/8in PT connection. Choose the 5 um W element when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need finer protection than the standard 40 um grade. Drain choice is differential-pressure (default), automatic, or manual; the J code here omits the bracket, so order the standard version if you need panel mounting. PT is the standard thread; G (BSPP) and NPT are catalogue options you can order.
Flow for the G filters is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so send us your flow and line conditions and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes filter flow as performance curves rather than a single rated number, so we do not quote one figure here. Tell us your line pressure and required flow and we will confirm the datasheet curve and correct size for your application on request.
The standard grade is 40 um, which suits general plant air. The W option fitted to this model filters down to 5 um, the right choice when feeding pilot valves, instruments or finishing equipment that is sensitive to fine particulate. Both grades use the same body, so the choice is purely about the protection your downstream equipment needs.
