The AirTAC Airtac GF Filter GF400C10W is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with See datasheet ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
GF400C10W is an AirTAC G-series air filter: its only job is to remove water and particulate from compressed air - there is no pressure regulation and no lubrication in this family. This 400-size configuration has a 3/8 in PT port, the fine 5 um element, the default differential-pressure drain on a polycarbonate bowl (condensate is discharged as pressure conditions change, with no drain valve to operate), and a mounting bracket is included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and working temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GF filter family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with 40 um standard or 5 um (W) filtration, three drain choices, and PT as the standard thread with G (BSPP) and NPT as catalogue options. Filter flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet and sizing on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Pre-filtering the feed to solenoid valve manifolds inside an enclosed welding cell, where the differential-pressure drain copes without daily operator attention.
Conditioning supply air to pneumatic pushers, gates and sealers along a packaging conveyor, with the 5 um element guarding the small control valves.
Cleaning the compressed-air feed to a leak-test and calibration rig, where fine particulate in the standard shop air would otherwise reach reference instruments.
Match the size to the job: 400 with a 3/8 in PT port is a mid-range step, with 200/300 and 600 available for smaller or larger supplies. This code carries the default differential-pressure drain, which suits enclosed or hard-to-access positions; specify M (manual) or A (automatic) on the same body if your servicing routine differs. The W in the code selects the 5 um element over the 40 um standard - choose it when downstream valves and instruments need finer air. Thread is PT as standard, with G and NPT orderable, and a bracket is included. Flow appears in the catalogue as curves, not one rated number, so ask us to confirm sizing against the application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes filter flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so no number is quoted on this page. Ask us for the datasheet and we will confirm the curve and size this 3/8 in, 400-size filter against your application.
It is the default drain on this code: condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl is discharged automatically as pressure conditions change, with no bowl valve to open. If you prefer scheduled manual draining or a float-type automatic drain, the same 400 filter is available with M or A drain codes.
