The AirTAC Airtac GF Filter GF400C15 is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with See datasheet ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
GF400C15 is an AirTAC G-series air filter, built solely to remove water and particulate from compressed air - it neither regulates pressure nor adds lubricant. This 400-size unit takes a 1/2 in PT port, carries the standard 40 um element, and uses the default differential-pressure drain on a polycarbonate bowl, so collected condensate discharges as pressure conditions change without a valve to open. A mounting bracket is included; maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and working temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GF filter family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with the 40 um standard element or a 5 um (W) option, three drain types, and PT as the standard thread alongside orderable G (BSPP) and NPT variants. Because AirTAC publishes filter flow as curves rather than one rated figure, we confirm the datasheet and sizing on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| C1 | Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

General conditioning at drop points off a factory air ring main, removing pipe-scale and condensate before air reaches the machine zone.
Filtering supply air to blow-off nozzles and air knives on a production line, so water carry-over does not mark products or wet sensors.
A workshop-wall filter ahead of air tools, quick couplings and hose reels, keeping rust and water out of the couplings at the point of use.
Size the unit to the supply: 400 with a 1/2 in PT port is the larger mid-range step, with 200/300 and 600 covering smaller and bigger lines. This code keeps the standard 40 um element - the right choice for general machine air and tool drops; step to the 5 um (W) grade only where downstream valves or instruments need finer filtration. The drain is the default differential-pressure type; M (manual) and A (automatic) are available on the same body. Thread is PT as standard with G and NPT as catalogue options, and a bracket is included here. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes filter capacity as flow curves rather than one rated figure, so this page quotes no number. Request the datasheet and we will confirm the curve for this 1/2 in, 400-size unit and check it against your application before you order.
This code carries the blank grade, i.e. the standard 40 um element, which suits general plant and machine air. If the unit feeds precision valves, cylinders with soft seals or instrumentation, ask for the same filter with W in the code for the 5 um element instead.
