The AirTAC Airtac GF Filter GF400C15AJW is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with See datasheet ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The AirTAC GF series is a compressed-air filter only: it strips water and particulate from the line, with no pressure regulation and no lubrication function. GF400C15AJW is the 400 size with a PT1/2 port and the automatic drain for hands-off condensate removal. The W suffix specifies the optional fine 5 um filtration element in place of the standard 40 um, for lines feeding equipment that needs cleaner air, and the 400-size bowl is polycarbonate so the condensate level stays visible. The J suffix means no mounting bracket is supplied.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G-series filter family covers sizes 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, differential-pressure, automatic and manual drain options, the 40 um standard element or the 5 um W option, and optional brackets and thread variants (PT standard; G/BSPP and NPT to order). Flow data is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm flow and datasheet figures against your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| C1 | Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Place ahead of a machine's pneumatic control panel so the 5 um element protects pilot valves and logic components from fine particulate while the automatic drain keeps the bowl clear.
Fit on the compressed-air feed to lab automation equipment such as plate handlers and liquid-handling modules, where cleaner 5 um air supports consistent instrument operation.
Install upstream of the air valves and cylinders on an automotive paint-booth door and masking system, filtering moisture and fine dirt from the actuation supply.
The 400 size with a 1/2 in PT port is the mid-range step in the G-series filter line; drop to GF300 for 1/4 or 3/8 in lines or move to GF600 for 3/4 or 1 in. This version pairs the automatic drain (A) with the fine 5 um element (W) - choose it when the drained bowl must look after itself and the downstream equipment is sensitive to particles finer than the standard 40 um cut. If 5 um is more than the application needs, the 40 um element on GF400C15AJ is the economical choice.
PT thread is standard here; G (BSPP) and NPT variants are catalogue options to order. The bracket is omitted on this J version but can be specified. Because AirTAC publishes flow as curves rather than one rated figure, share your line pressure and target flow with us and we will confirm the correct size from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GF series as characteristic curves, not as a single rated figure, and adding the 5 um element changes the curve shape. Tell us your working pressure and required flow and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The W in GF400C15AJW selects the optional 5 um filtration element, a finer cut than the 40 um standard - appropriate for pilot valves, instruments and other particle-sensitive equipment. Drain type, port size and thread are independent choices, so you can pair 5 um with automatic, manual or differential-pressure drainage as the install needs.
