The AirTAC Airtac GF Filter GF400C15AW is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with See datasheet ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The AirTAC GF series filters compressed air - removing water and particulate only, with no regulator and no lubricator in the body. GF400C15AW is the 400 size with a PT1/2 port, the automatic drain for unattended condensate removal, and the optional 5 um (W) filtration element instead of the standard 40 um. Unlike the J versions, no bracket code is present, so the mounting bracket is included, making it straightforward to fix the unit to a machine frame or panel beside the take-off point. The 400-size bowl is polycarbonate for a clear view of collected liquid.
This is a genuine AirTAC part in the G-series filter range, which spans sizes 200 to 600 and ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, with a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um standard or 5 um fine element, and PT thread as standard (G/BSPP and NPT variants are catalogue options to order). Flow is published only as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm flow and datasheet values against your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Fit at the supply to the pneumatic pushers and gates on a food sorting or tray-loading conveyor, with the 5 um element guarding the directional valves and the auto drain coping with humid line air.
Install on the air drop serving a robot cell's gripper and end-of-arm tooling circuit, filtering fine particles from the supply while the automatic drain removes condensate between cycles.
Mount on the internal air manifold of a purpose-built machine or OEM skid, using the included bracket to fix the filter inside the electrical-pneumatic cabinet enclosure.
Match the size step to your plumbing: 400 with a 1/2 in PT port serves mid-range lines; use GF300 for 1/4 or 3/8 in and GF600 for 3/4 or 1 in. This code combines the automatic drain (A) and the 5 um element (W), plus the included bracket - a good default for a fixed point-of-use installation where nobody drains bowls by hand and fine filtration is wanted. If the line already has coarse upstream filtration and only coarse protection is needed, the 40 um standard element saves cost.
Thread is PT as standard; specify the G (BSPP) or T (NPT) version if the plant piping differs. Since AirTAC's published flow data comes as curves and not one rating, send us your pressure and flow requirement and we will confirm the size against the datasheet before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
No - AirTAC publishes flow for this series as characteristic curves rather than one rated figure, so any single number would be an invention. Provide your operating pressure and target flow and we will confirm the correct size and figures from the datasheet on request.
GF400C15AW carries no J bracket code, so the mounting bracket is supplied, letting you secure the unit to a frame or panel. Everything else in the decode - 1/2 in PT port, automatic drain, 5 um element, polycarbonate 400-size bowl - is unchanged versus the J version, which omits the bracket.
