The AirTAC Airtac GF Filter GF400C15JW is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with See datasheet ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
GF400C15JW is an AirTAC G-series air filter: its only job is to remove water and particulate from compressed air - there is no pressure regulation and no lubrication in this unit. The 400 frame carries a PT1/2 port, the W code selects the finer 5 um element instead of the standard 40 um grade, and the blank drain position is the differential-pressure drain, which discharges collected condensate automatically at a set pressure drop. The J code omits the mounting bracket. The polycarbonate bowl suits the -5 to 70 C operating window and maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the G series, which spans 200, 300, 400 and 600 frame sizes. Across the series you can order differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads in place of the standard PT. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GF400 | G-series air filter, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| C1 | Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed as point-of-use filtration on the PT1/2 supply feeding a machining center's pneumatic valves and clamps, the 5 um element strips water and fine particles that would otherwise score spool valves and clog small orifices.
Mounted at the drop of a trim-line air main, the differential-pressure drain sheds accumulated condensate automatically as flow rises, keeping rust sludge and pipe scale out of the cylinders and air tools downstream.
On a bottling hall's conveyor stop and pusher cylinders, the filter's water and particle removal helps stop sticky valve spools and erratic cylinder cycling caused by wet, dirty plant air.
Move between the 200, 300, 400 and 600 frames to match port size and demand; this 400 unit with PT1/2 ports suits mid-to-large plant air lines. Choose the 5 um element (W) when downstream equipment needs finer particle removal than the 40 um standard. Drains come as differential-pressure (this model), automatic (A) or manual (M); threads are standard PT with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order, and the J code deletes the bracket. Because AirTAC publishes flow as curves, not a single rating, send us your flow and pressure and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow data as performance curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number here. Tell us your line pressure and required flow and we will confirm the correct frame size and the datasheet figures on request.
A blank drain code is the differential-pressure drain, which discharges condensate automatically at a set pressure drop. Choose M for a manual drain you operate yourself, or A for an automatic drain. Note that manual-drain GF filters carry a 0 to 0.9 MPa inlet range instead of 1.0 MPa.
