The AirTAC Airtac GF Filter GF400C15W is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with See datasheet ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
GF400C15W is a genuine AirTAC G-series air filter in size 400, for compressed air only. It removes water and particulate from the line; it does not regulate pressure and it does not add lubrication. This configuration has a 1/2 inch PT port, the finer 5 um W element instead of the 40 um standard, and the default differential-pressure drain, which vents condensate as the pressure differential builds. Maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G-series filter range runs from size 200 to 600, with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, PC bowls on the 200/300/400 sizes and an aluminium alloy bowl on 600, plus a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains and 40 um or 5 um elements. Flow for these filters is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet numbers on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| C1 | Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On the compressed-air ring main serving a quality laboratory, the 5 um element keeps moisture and fine particulate out of pneumatic sample-handling actuators and air-driven agitators.
Fitted at the drop feeding a robotic spot-welding cell, the filter stops condensate and pipe scale reaching the weld-gun clamps and the cell controller's pneumatic valves.
Placed ahead of the air-nozzle blow-off stations on a bottling line conveyor, it removes water slugs and particles so the nozzles run clean and labels stay dry.
Size 400 with a 1/2 inch port covers heavier general plant demand than the 300 step; check the published flow curve against your line before ordering, since there is no single rated-flow figure. Keep the 5 um element if downstream valves or instruments need finer protection, or use the 40 um standard element version for coarse pre-filtration. The differential-pressure drain suits continuously flowing lines; choose the manual drain where an operator can vent regularly, or the automatic drain for unattended duty. PT is the standard thread and G (BSPP) or NPT are catalogue options. A bracket is included, and a no-bracket J version is available.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes filter performance as flow curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
The 40 um element is the standard choice for general pre-filtration of plant air. The 5 um W element on this model suits lines feeding finer pneumatic components, instruments or processes that need cleaner air. Both elements fit the same size-400 GF body, so this is a filter-grade choice, not a different size or port.
