The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-10G Filter Regulator 3/8in, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10G is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 400 unit is fitted with a 3/8in G (BSPP) port, an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, the standard 40 um filter element, an embedded square gauge reading in psi, a reverse/check valve, and a mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulation range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl suits general indoor compressed-air service.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of ports, threads (PT standard; G and NPT as order options), drain types (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), filter grades (40 um standard, 5 um optional), gauge scales and check-valve fitment. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use conditioning on the air drop feeding a CNC machine's pneumatic clamps and tool-change cylinders: water and swarf-laden particulate are filtered out, and the regulator sets a stable supply pressure for the machine's air circuit.
Conditioning the supply to carton-sealing and case-packing actuators on a packaging conveyor line: the filter keeps condensate and debris out of the cylinders, the regulator holds a consistent set pressure for repeatable stroke timing, and the check valve holds the setting during brief supply dips.
A take-off unit on the ring main of an assembly plant, feeding air tools and pneumatic presses at individual stations: the automatic drain copes with condensate carried over from the main, and the psi gauge lets operators verify station pressure at a glance.
Start with the port size: this unit steps up to 3/8in within the GFR400 size class, and the right size depends on the flow your line needs - we can check the published flow curves against your demand. Choose the drain to match attendance: automatic (this unit) drains itself, manual suits supervised points, and differential-pressure is the default. Filter grade is 40 um standard here; specify 5 um (code W) for finer protection. The embedded square gauge reads psi; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. Thread is G (BSPP) on this unit, with PT standard and NPT available to order. A mounting bracket is included, and the reverse/check valve holds downstream pressure on supply loss.
Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line demand and working pressure and we will confirm the flow figures from the datasheet for this 3/8in size 400 unit before you order.
The automatic drain (code A) expels collected condensate from the bowl on its own, so it suits unattended points or lines where manual draining would be missed. If you prefer, the same GFR400 body is available with a manual drain or the default differential-pressure drain, and the filter grade can be changed from the standard 40 um to 5 um (code W).
