The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400C10ALJF3TK Filter Regulator 3/8in NPT is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C10ALJF3TK is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and reduces pressure to the working level, in a single body. This configuration carries a 3/8 in NPT port, a 40 um filter element, an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, and a low-pressure regulator type for circuits that run below the standard adjustment band. A square pressure gauge scaled in bar is fitted, a reverse (check) valve is included, and no mounting bracket is supplied.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR series, which spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um optional filter grade, gauge scale choices and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm figures from the datasheet for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, reduced-pressure air to clamp and hold-down cylinders on a fixture line where the circuit runs at a lower working pressure than a standard regulator band, with the check valve holding the set pressure if upstream supply dips.
Conditioning the shop-air feed to a machining centre's pneumatic chuck, tool-change actuators and chip doors: water and 40 um particulate removed upstream, pressure regulated to the machine's input requirement and read locally on the bar gauge.
Supplying clean, regulated air to the diverters, pushers and stopper cylinders along a packaging or sorting conveyor, with the automatic drain handling condensate so the unit can run unattended through a shift.
Start with the port step: size 400 with a 3/8 in NPT port sits in the middle of the GFR range, so step up to size 600 or down to 300/200 depending on the flow your line needs - we will check the published flow curves against your demand on request. This unit is the low-pressure regulator type; its exact adjustment range is not published, so confirm it covers your working pressure with us before ordering. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify code W for the 5 um grade if downstream equipment needs finer filtration. The automatic drain (code A) suits unattended installations; manual and differential-pressure drains are the alternatives. The fitted square gauge reads in bar; MPa and psi scales and an external round gauge are options. Thread is NPT here - PT is the standard and G (BSPP) is also an order option - and the J code means no bracket, so add a bracket variant if you panel- or wall-mount.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a l/min or SCFM figure. Send us your application's flow demand and working pressure and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves before you order.
The A code means condensate collected in the bowl is expelled automatically, without anyone opening a drain by hand - useful on unattended or hard-to-reach installations. The GFR family also offers a manual drain (code M) and the differential-pressure drain, which is the default when no drain code is given.
