The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400C10C2GK Filter Regulator G3/8, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400C10C2GK is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your set point in a single body. This size 400 unit is ordered with a G3/8 (BSPP) female port, the standard 40 um filter element, differential-pressure drain, and an external round pressure gauge reading in psi. A reverse/check valve is fitted and a mounting bracket is included. The size 400 bowl is polycarbonate (PC).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port options from 1/8 to 1 inch, PT as standard and G or NPT to order, plus drain, filter-grade, gauge-scale and check-valve choices. Max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm figures from the datasheet for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use conditioning ahead of pneumatic actuators on a packaging line: the 40 um element strips water and pipe scale while the regulator holds a steady actuator pressure despite header fluctuations, with the psi gauge giving operators a visible set point.
Feeding directional valves and gate cylinders on a conveyor system, where the fitted check valve holds the downstream circuit against backflow and the regulator keeps clamp-and-stop pressures consistent across shifts.
Supplying pick-and-place modules and small test-rig cylinders on laboratory automation skids, where filtered, regulated air at a known psi setting protects sensitive tooling and keeps repeat cycles predictable.
The real choices in this family are decodable from the code. Size sets the port step and the flow band: 200, 300, 400 and 600, with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch - match the size to your required flow and we will confirm the flow curve for the size you pick. Drain types are differential-pressure (this unit), automatic (A) or manual (M); filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with code W. Units with a regulator take an embedded square gauge as standard or an external round gauge in MPa, psi or bar scales - this unit carries the round psi gauge. Thread is PT as standard, with G (this unit) or NPT as order options, and the bracket is included unless J is specified. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your application and required port size and we will confirm the relevant flow figures from the datasheet before you order.
In the GFR code, C2 specifies the optional external round gauge with a psi scale (the embedded square gauge is the standard fitting), and K specifies a fitted reverse/check valve. The blank drain position is the differential-pressure type, and with that drain the standard regulator covers a setting range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi).
