About the Airtac MAJ Double Rod Adjustable Stainless Steel Mini Cylinder MAJ20X175-50S
Trim 50 mm off a 175 mm stroke with an external screw - that is what the MAJ20X175-50S adds to a plain MA cylinder. Double-acting throughout, it pushes and pulls on air at 30-800 mm/s, with fixed anti-impact pads taking the sting out of both stroke ends. Bore 20 output is 157 N push at 0.5 MPa, enough for light gates, presenters and diverters.
Construction is a riveted stainless round barrel with a hard-chrome plated Dia 8 rod, a build that shrugs off splash and humidity where painted minis rust. In practice, treat about 94 N (60 percent of the 157 N rating) as the working force for long service life. For lifting, the 0.5 MPa figure converts to roughly 16 kgf, or about 8 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. CMSG / DMSG / EMSG switches mount directly because the piston magnet is standard equipment.

A sandwich check at 0.5 MPa: bore 16 gives 100.5 N, bore 25 gives 245.3 N, and bore 20's 157 N covers the middle of that ladder.
