The piston is double-acting, so 0.5 MPa air yields 628.3 N out and 527.8 N back, delivered through a rolled stainless barrel fitted with a hard-chrome carbon-steel rod.
Sized conservatively, count on close to 377 N of working push at 0.5 MPa - enough to raise a load of about 32 kg vertically while keeping a 2:1 cushion. The stop screw sets the forward end of travel mechanically; it never works as a mid-stroke lock, and the fixed bumper pad simply eases the piston into each end.
