A 40 mm bore gives the MAJ40X80-40S real muscle - 628.3 N forward at 0.5 MPa - while the -40S code sets a 40 mm window in which the stop screw shortens the extend stroke on site. Double-acting design means the return is also air powered, running anywhere in the 30-800 mm/s speed band.
The riveted stainless body stays compact and sealed, and the chrome-plated rod with aluminium covers holds up in humid workshops that pit painted cylinders. On vertical jobs the rod can raise about 32 kg at 0.5 MPa with a 2:1 margin already applied, enough for small jigs or a stack of castings.
