The AirTAC MGD40X150S is a double acting, double-rod JIS round-body mini cylinder with a 40 mm bore and 150 mm stroke. A 16 mm rod exits both the front and rear covers with the same M14x1.5 male thread at each end, so both rod ends travel together and the output force is equal in both directions: about 527.8 N each way at 0.5 MPa and 738.9 N at 0.7 MPa. Because both chambers see the rod-side area, there is no separate push and pull figure to juggle when sizing a symmetric load.
The through-rod resists rotation and side load, keeps stroke-end position repeatable, and lets the rear rod end carry a stop flag or drive a second mechanism while the front end does the work.
