About the Airtac MTG Stainless Steel Mini Cylinder MTG32X125
The MTG32X125 is a JIS-standard round-body mini cylinder built as a single acting PULL unit: an internal spring holds the rod out at rest, and compressed air retracts (pulls) it through the 125 mm stroke. With 32 mm bore and 0.5 MPa supply it delivers about 225 N of net pull, rising to 363 N at 0.7 MPa. Because air is only needed on the work stroke, one 1/8" port and a single air line are enough, which simplifies plumbing on compact fixtures and gates.
Construction suits damp and washdown-adjacent environments: a SUS304 stainless barrel, a hard-chrome plated 12 mm rod with M10x1.25 male thread, riveted covers, a two-way lubricant-storing piston seal and a fixed anti-impact bumper pad at the stroke end. Operating range is 0.2-1.0 MPa (28-145 psi) at 50-800 mm/s, proof tested to 1.5 MPa (215 psi). Retracting a locking pin

Is the Airtac MTG Stainless Steel Mini Cylinder MTG32X125 the Right Cylinder?
Choose the MTG32X125 when your motion is a one-way pull of about 135 N or less at 0.5 MPa (using the 0.6 safety factor on the 224.8 N net pull) over a 125 mm stroke. The 32 mm bore is the second-largest MTG; step up to MTG40 for about 339 N pull at 0.5 MPa, or down to MTG25 for about 133 N. Remember the spring extends the rod and air retracts it, and the spring-return design sets a 0.2 MPa minimum working pressure and caps standard strokes at 150 mm for this bore. If you need two-way powered travel or a longer stroke, move to the double-acting MG series instead. Mounting options are LB foot, FA flange, CB clevis and SDB pivot, plus I and Y rod knuckles; thread is PT and the port is 1/8" on every MTG bore. Order the S code to enable CMSG/DMSG/EMSG sensing; without it no sensor can be fitted.
