About the Airtac MTG Stainless Steel Mini Cylinder MTG32X125S
The MTG32X125S is a JIS-standard round-body mini cylinder built as a single acting PULL unit: an internal spring holds the rod out at rest, and compressed air retracts (pulls) it through the 125 mm stroke. At the 32 mm bore this gives about 224.8 N of net pull at 0.5 MPa and 363 N at 0.7 MPa, figures already measured after the spring, so what you see is what reaches the load. Working pressure runs from 0.2 MPa (28 psi) up to 1.0 MPa (145 psi), with a 1.5 MPa (215 psi) proof rating and a speed band of 50 to 800 mm/s.
Because only one air line is needed, plumbing stays simple and the valve count drops, which suits one-way draw, retract and close motions. The 32 mm barrel is SUS304 stainless with a riveted construction and a 12 mm hard-chrome steel rod (male thread M10x1.25), so it shrugs off damp and washdown environments, and a fixed anti-impact bumper pad softens each stroke end. The S code means a magnet is fitted, so CMSG, DMSG or EMSG switches can report rod position. Choose the MTG32X125S when your motion is a one-way pull of about 135 N or less at 0.5 MPa (224.8 N available, 363 N at 0.7 MPa) over a 125 mm stroke. Step down to bore 20 or 25 for lighter draws, or up to bore 40 (339.1 N at 0.5 MPa) for heavier ones. Remember the direction of travel: the spring extends the rod and air retracts it, and the minimum working pressure is 0.2 MPa (28 psi), below which the spring wins. The spring return also caps standard strokes at 150 mm for this bore; if you need two-way powered travel or a longer stroke, move to the double-acting MG series.
