About the Airtac MTG Stainless Steel Mini Cylinder MTG32X75S
The MTG32X75S is a single acting, pull-type JIS round-body mini cylinder: an internal spring holds the rod extended at rest, and compressed air retracts (pulls) it on the work stroke. With a 32 mm bore and 75 mm stroke it delivers about 224.8 N of net pull at 0.5 MPa and 363 N at 0.7 MPa, already after the spring, so one air line is all you need for a one-way draw, retract, close or tension motion. The spring return also means the rod fails to its extended position on air loss, a useful safety behaviour for closing and clamping duties.
Construction is a riveted SUS304 stainless barrel with a hard-chrome (20 um) carbon-steel rod, a two-way lubricant-storing piston seal and a fixed anti-impact bumper pad at the stroke end, suiting damp and washdown environments on a JIS mini footprint. The fitted magnet (-S code) accepts CMSG, DMSG or EMSG switches for end-position signalling.
