A double acting, double rod compact cylinder built to ISO 21287, the TACED40X20S pushes a 40 mm bore through a 20 mm stroke with a rod leaving both covers. Because each side sees the rod-side area, output is identical in either direction: 571.8 N at 0.5 MPa and 800.5 N at 0.7 MPa, both ways. Twin guide rods on the yoke stop the tooling rotating and carry side load, so a gripper or press plate stays square without an external guide. The hard-anodized aluminium body pairs with an S45C hard-chrome plated rod for long service life.
The short ISO 21287 body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it drops into tight jigs, guarding and gantries where a full-length body cannot. A fixed TPU bumper at each end absorbs end-of-stroke energy, and the -S code on this model means the magnet is fitted, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be mounted anywhere along the body slots.
