About the Airtac TACED Guided Compact Cylinder TACED80X55
Double acting and double rod, the AirTAC TACED80X55 pushes a 20 mm rod out of BOTH covers, so the 80 mm bore delivers an identical 2356.2 N at 0.5 MPa (3298.7 N at 0.7 MPa) whether it extends or retracts. Twin guide rods on the yoke stop the tooling rotating and carry side load, so a press plate or gripper stays square with no external guide. Speed range is 30-500 mm/s over 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) of clean, 40 um filtered air.
The ISO 21287 short body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why this heavy-thrust size fits inside press frames and weld fixtures a full-length body cannot reach. A fixed TPU bumper at each end absorbs end-of-stroke shock, and the hard-anodized aluminium body with S45C hard-chrome rod shrugs off wear. For sizing: at 0.5 MPa plan on roughly 1414 N of real work (about 0.6 of the rating), which is around 144 kgf, so halve that and it lifts about 72 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin.
