The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/4 in NPT, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 200 unit is threaded 1/4 in NPT, carries a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), and drains by hand through its manual drain, so moisture is released only when an operator opens the drain. The embedded square gauge reads outlet pressure in bar, and the standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). No mounting bracket is fitted on this version.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and is offered with a choice of drain type, filter grade, gauge scale, thread (PT standard, G and NPT as order options) and bracket. Because AirTAC publishes flow only as curves rather than a single rated figure, we confirm flow and other datasheet values for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Placed at the drop feeding a CNC machining centre's pneumatic valves and clamps, it cleans the shop air down to 5 um and holds a steady regulated pressure for actuator and tool-change circuits.
Mounted ahead of the valve manifold on a cartoning or case-packing line, it strips water and fine particles that would otherwise score spool valves, while the bar gauge lets operators verify set pressure at a glance.
Installed on the supply to lab benches, analytical instruments or pneumatic test rigs, the 5 um grade and manual drain give technicians clean, dry, manually controlled air without lubricant mist in the line.
Size and port set the flow capacity: this unit is size 200 with a 1/4 in NPT port; step up to sizes 300, 400 or 600 when the line demands more flow. The 5 um element on this model suits air that feeds sensitive components; the standard 40 um grade is the coarser alternative. Drain choice matters: manual drain (this model) needs operator attention, while automatic and differential-pressure drains discharge condensate without it. The square gauge here reads in bar; MPa and psi scales are available, and an external round gauge is optional. Thread is NPT on this unit; PT is standard and G is an order option. A mounting bracket can be ordered if the J (no bracket) version does not suit your panel. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Tell us your line pressure and the flow your application needs, and we will confirm from the datasheet curves whether the size 200, 1/4 in port unit is correctly sized before you order.
The M in the code means the bowl drains only when someone opens it by hand, which suits installations checked as part of a routine. If the unit sits where nobody regularly walks past, the automatic or differential-pressure drain versions discharge collected condensate on their own. Note that with a manual drain the regulator adjustment range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
