The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator, PT1/4, 5 um, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a size-200 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration has a 1/4 in PT port, 5 um filtration (the finer of the two published grades), a manual drain bowl, a round pressure gauge reading in psi, and a built-in reverse/check valve that holds downstream pressure when the upstream supply is lost. No mounting bracket is fitted. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulator adjustment range with manual drain is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The bowl on this size is polycarbonate.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge style and scale options, PT, G or NPT threads, and bracket or no-bracket mounting. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figure for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use conditioning on a machining centre's pneumatic supply: the 5 um element protects solenoid valves and air bearings from water and fine particulate while the regulator holds a steady set pressure for clamping and tool-change circuits.
Feeding the valve island on a cartoning or wrapping line, where the check valve holds the downstream circuit pressurised during brief supply dips and the psi gauge lets operators verify set pressure at a glance.
Conditioning and regulating air to directional valves and cylinders on a warehouse conveyor and sortation line, with the manual drain bowl emptied during scheduled rounds and the 5 um grade guarding pilot valves.
Size 200 with a 1/4 in PT port suits compact supply points and machine-level drops; step up to 300, 400 or 600 if the line demands more flow capacity. Choose the drain to match access: manual drain (as fitted here) needs someone to open it periodically, automatic drain suits unattended positions, and differential-pressure drain is the catalogue default. Filtration is 5 um on this unit (40 um is the standard grade) - pick 5 um where downstream valves and instruments need finer protection. The gauge reads in psi; MPa and bar scales and an embedded square gauge are the other published options. PT is the standard thread; G (BSPP) and NPT are order options. Brackets are optional - this unit is supplied without one. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Tell us your line pressure, set pressure and the flow your application needs, and we will confirm against the datasheet curve whether this 1/4 in size-200 unit is correctly sized before you order.
This configuration is ordered with a manual drain bowl: someone opens the drain periodically to expel collected water, which suits attended machines and scheduled maintenance rounds. If the unit will sit in an unattended or hard-to-reach position, the same GFR200-08 is available with an automatic drain or the differential-pressure drain default - just ask for that variant.
