GFR200C08C2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, 5 um

The AirTAC GFR200C08C2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR200C08C2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, 5 um

The GFR200C08C2WT is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This size 200 unit is threaded NPT1/4 (1/4 in), carries a 5 um filter element (code W), drains condensate by differential pressure, and is fitted with an external round gauge scaled in psi. A mounting bracket is included and no reverse/check valve is fitted.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um standard or 5 um (W) filtration, and PT, G or NPT threads. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GFR200G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range.
C0Port size See datasheet. This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

  • GFR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GFR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR200C08C2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, 5 um Is Used

precision_manufacturing

CNC machine tool air prep

Feeding solenoid valves and air cylinders on a CNC machining centre: the 5 um element protects directional valves from particulate and the regulator holds a steady supply pressure to the machine's actuator circuits.

conveyor_belt

Packaging line actuator supply

Supplying pick-and-place grippers and diverters on a packaging conveyor: filtered, regulated air keeps the gripper cylinders consistent through the shift, and the differential-pressure drain removes condensate without operator attention.

factory

Assembly-cell point-of-use drop

Serving a bench-mounted air drop in an assembly cell: the included bracket mounts the unit at the point of use, the psi gauge gives the operator a local setpoint readout, and regulated air feeds air screwdrivers and clamps.

Is the GFR200C08C2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, 5 um the Right Unit?

Sizing starts with the port and body size: this unit is size 200 with a 1/4 in NPT port; step up to 300, 400 or 600 when the application needs a larger port and more flow. The regulated output range for this differential-pressure-drain configuration is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), set against the round psi gauge supplied. The 5 um element (W) suits air that feeds sensitive components; the 40 um standard element is the usual choice for general plant air. Threads are PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options - this unit is ordered with NPT. Flow is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (See datasheet here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR200C08C2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, 5 um FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Send us your required flow and working pressure and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.

This unit is ordered with the 5 um element (code W), which suits air feeding sensitive valves, gauges and pneumatic instruments. The 40 um element is the standard grade for general plant air; both grades are available across the GFR range.
