GFR200C08JNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4

The AirTAC GFR200C08JNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR200C08JNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4

The GFR200C08JNT is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure. This size 200 unit has a 1/4 in NPT port, a 40 um filtration element, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element is high enough. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and no gauge is fitted with this configuration, so add your own downstream gauge if you need to read set pressure. No mounting bracket is included.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of PT, G or NPT threads, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, and a 40 um standard or 5 um (code W) element. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GFR200G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range.
C0Port size See datasheet. This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

  • GFR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR200C08JNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Is Used

factory

Pneumatic press supply line

Feeding a bench pneumatic press or clamping fixture: the 40 um element keeps machining moisture and pipe scale out of the cylinder valves while the regulator holds a steady working pressure for consistent clamping force.

conveyor_belt

Packaging conveyor actuator air

Conditioning the air supply to conveyor diverters, stoppers and pusher cylinders on a packaging line, where the differential-pressure drain removes condensate without daily manual draining and the regulator keeps actuator speed repeatable.

valve

Pneumatic valve actuation skid

Preparing air for quarter-turn actuated ball and butterfly valves on a process skid: the filter section protects the actuator seals and solenoid valves, and the regulator sets the actuator operating pressure at the manifold.

Is the GFR200C08JNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 the Right Unit?

Start with the port step: size 200 with a 1/4 in NPT port suits compact circuits; step up to 300, 400 or 600 when the line needs more flow capacity. Choose the drain to match maintenance: differential-pressure (this unit) needs no attention, automatic drains continuously, and manual drain suits infrequently visited installations. Pick 40 um for general air preparation or the 5 um W element where finer filtration is wanted. Decide whether you want a gauge fitted and with which scale, and confirm the thread family - PT is the standard, with G and NPT as order options - plus whether a bracket is needed.

Because flow is published only as curves and not as a single rated number, we cannot quote a rated flow here. Send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (See datasheet here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR200C08JNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Send us your line size and application and we will confirm the relevant datasheet flow figures for the GFR200 before you order.

The JNT configuration carries the no-gauge code, so no pressure gauge is supplied and no bracket is included. The standard-type regulator still adjusts across 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi); fit your own gauge on the downstream side to read the set pressure, or order a GFR variant with a gauge if you prefer one supplied.
