The AirTAC GFR200C08LC2W AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/4 in Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR200C08LC2W is an AirTAC GFR200 filter regulator: a single body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure. This configuration is the low-pressure type, fitted with a 5 um filter element (code W) for finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as flow passes through, and a round psi gauge so operators can read and set the working pressure directly. It connects at PT1/4 (1/4 in) and carries a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi), with an operating temperature range of -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, drain choices (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), 40 um or 5 um filter grades, standard or low-pressure regulator types, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and G (BSPP) or NPT thread options to order. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet and sizing figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On robotic pick-and-place cells handling cartons or delicate parts, the low-pressure regulator lets the gripper circuit run at reduced pressure for soft, repeatable gripping, while the 5 um element protects the gripper valve internals from fine particulate.
On form-fill-seal and cartoning machines, sealing and clinch cylinders are typically fed at reduced pressure to avoid crushing product. This unit filters the supply to 5 um and lets the line set the seal-jaw pressure at the machine, read on the psi gauge.
On bench-top pneumatic test rigs and laboratory apparatus, the 5 um grade gives finer air cleanliness for sensitive instruments and cylinders, and the low-pressure regulator trims supply pressure down for low-pressure test conditions, monitored on the round psi gauge.
Size 200 with a 1/4 in port is the entry step of the GFR range; step up to sizes 300, 400 or 600 when the application's air demand outgrows the smaller port. The 5 um element (code W) suits downstream equipment that needs finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade. The differential-pressure drain handles condensate automatically during flow; if the unit will sit at low or intermittent flow, consider an automatic or manual drain variant instead. The round psi gauge is the external option - an embedded square gauge (MPa, psi or bar scale) is also available. Thread is PT as standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are order options, and a mounting bracket is included.
Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application's air demand before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM figure. Contact us and we will confirm the datasheet and check the flow curve against your application's air demand before you order.
The W in the code GFR200C08LC2W selects the 5 um element, AirTAC's finer filtration grade, in place of the 40 um standard. Choose 5 um where downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need cleaner air; the standard 40 um grade remains available on other GFR200 variants.
