The AirTAC GFR200C08MC2W AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/4 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200C08MC2W is a size 200 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is threaded PT1/4 (1/4 in), carries the fine 5 um filter element (code W), and uses a manual drain, so an operator opens the drain at the bowl to expel collected condensate. The fitted round gauge reads in psi, the standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the unit is rated for a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi) at -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl includes a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um standard or 5 um fine filtration, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and G, NPT or PT threads. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds clean, regulated air to solenoid-actuated process valves on a packaging or filling line, where the 5 um element protects valve seats and the psi gauge lets operators set and verify actuation pressure.
Supplies filtered, pressure-controlled air to the cylinders and grippers of a pick-and-place module above a conveyor, with the manual drain bowl emptied during scheduled changeover stops.
Conditions the air feeding bench-top test rigs and analytical instruments, where the 5 um grade guards sensitive pneumatic components and the round psi gauge gives a clear local pressure readout.
Start with the port and size: this unit is size 200 with a 1/4 in PT port, the smallest step in the GFR range - step up to size 300, 400 or 600 if the line needs a larger port. Choose the drain to match maintenance: manual (as here) needs an operator to drain the bowl, automatic drains on its own, and the differential-pressure default drains when the pressure drop across the element rises. Filtration comes as 40 um standard or 5 um fine (this unit is 5 um) - pick the finer grade for sensitive downstream components. Gauges are embedded square (standard) or external round, with MPa, psi or bar scales; this unit has an external round gauge reading psi. Threads are PT as standard with G and NPT available to order, and a bracket is included.
Flow for this family is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so we cannot quote one number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as characteristic curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your application and required flow, and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request before you order.
The M in the code sets a manual drain: an operator opens the drain at the bowl to expel collected water. Choose manual when the unit is accessible and drained during routine checks; choose automatic or the differential-pressure drain when the installation runs unattended and condensate must be removed without operator action.
