GFR200C08MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4

The AirTAC GFR200C08MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR200C08MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4

The GFR200C08MF2T is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This size-200 unit has a 1/4 in NPT port, a PC (polycarbonate) bowl with manual drain, a standard 40 um filter element, and an embedded square gauge reading in psi. The standard regulator covers 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and an operating temperature of -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and options including automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element (code W), G or NPT threads, alternative gauge scales, and a reverse/check valve. Because AirTAC publishes flow only as curves rather than a single rating, we confirm flow and datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GFR200G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range.
C0Port size See datasheet. This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR200C08MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Is Used

factory

Pneumatic press station

Point-of-use air preparation for a small pneumatic press or clamping cylinder: the 40 um element strips water and pipe scale from the shop air line while the regulator holds a steady setting at the cylinder, and the psi gauge gives the operator a local setpoint check.

conveyor_belt

Packaging line actuators

Feeding carton-sealers, labellers and conveyor stopper cylinders on a packaging line, where the manual drain lets an operator bleed accumulated condensate at shift start and the regulator keeps actuator speed and seating force consistent.

valve

Process valve pilot supply

Regulating clean pilot air to solenoid and air-piloted process valves on a skid or manifold, so valves shift at a consistent pressure; the 1/4 in NPT port drops straight into standard pilot piping.

Is the GFR200C08MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 the Right Unit?

Choose the size by the port and flow your line needs: size 200 with a 1/4 in port suits compact point-of-use drops, while 300, 400 and 600 step up in port and flow capacity. This configuration is fixed with a manual drain, a 40 um element, and a square psi gauge; the 5 um W element, automatic or differential-pressure drains, MPa or bar gauge scales, PT or G threads, and a bracket are available in sibling codes. AirTAC publishes flow as curves, not a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (See datasheet here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR200C08MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your inlet pressure, set pressure and expected air consumption, and we will confirm the flow and sizing from the datasheet on request.

The M in this code specifies a manual drain: an operator opens the bowl drain to expel collected water. Sibling GFR200 codes offer automatic and differential-pressure drains if you would rather not rely on manual blowdowns; the manual-drain version also allows the wider 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) setting range.
