The AirTAC GFR400C10AC2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 3/8 in is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C10AC2T is a GFR-series filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your setpoint. This size 400 unit has 3/8 in NPT ports, an automatic drain, a 40 um standard filter element and a round pressure gauge reading in psi. The standard-type regulator adjusts from 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and a mounting bracket is included. At size 400 the bowl is polycarbonate; only the size 600 units use an aluminium alloy bowl.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family runs from size 200 to size 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and options that include manual or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element (code W), embedded square or external round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, G (BSPP) or NPT threads against the PT standard, and low-pressure or check-valve variants. Flow for the series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing and any datasheet figure for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |

| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, regulated air to a pneumatic press or clamping fixture on an assembly line, where the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the valve stack between shifts.
Supplying packaging and cartoning machinery whose air cylinders and directional valves need filtered air held at a steady setpoint through a full production run.
Conditioning the compressed air feed to laboratory or test-bench instrumentation that is sensitive to water and particulate carryover from the shop air main.
Choose the size by port and flow duty: this unit is size 400 with 3/8 in NPT ports, one step up from size 300 (1/4 in) and one below size 600, so step up a size when your demand sits near the top of a smaller unit's curve. The automatic drain suits unattended or hard-to-reach installations; the same size 400 unit can be ordered with a manual drain or the differential-pressure default. The 40 um element is the standard grade - specify 5 um (code W) where finer particulate protection matters. The round gauge here reads in psi; MPa and bar scales and an embedded square gauge are alternatives. Threads are NPT on this unit, with G (BSPP) available to order; PT is the catalogue standard, and a low-pressure type or a check-valve version can be specified if the duty calls for it.
Flow for the GFR series is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your operating pressure and air demand and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR-series flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your operating pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
In this configuration the bowl drains automatically, ejecting collected condensate without operator attention - useful on lines that run unattended. The same size 400 filter regulator can be ordered with a manual drain or the differential-pressure default, with a 5 um element (code W), with a different gauge scale, or with G (BSPP) threads instead of NPT.
