The AirTAC GFR400C10AC3WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady in a single body. This GFR400C10AC3WTK unit is built on the 400 size with a 3/8 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (finer than the 40 um standard), an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, a round pressure gauge reading in bar, and a built-in check (reverse) valve. The mounting bracket is included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. The 400-size bowl is polycarbonate; only the 600 size moves to an aluminium alloy bowl.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR range spans the 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and can be ordered with manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 40 um or 5 um element, square or round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, an optional check valve, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the figures for your application - we will send the datasheet on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use air preparation for a CNC machine's pneumatic clamps and tool-change cylinders: the 5 um element strips water and fine particulate before the machine's valves, while the regulator holds a steady working pressure and the check valve holds the circuit if supply pressure dips.
Conditioning the air feeding carton-sealing and labelling machines on a packaging line. The automatic drain handles condensate at an unmanned station, and the round bar gauge lets line staff verify set pressure at a glance.
Regulating and filtering the supply to stopper and gate cylinders along a bottling or distribution conveyor, where the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the circuit in sections nobody walks past during a shift.
Start with size: step up from 200 to 600 as your air demand and port size grow - this 400 unit carries a 3/8 in NPT port. Then set the drain: automatic (fitted here) suits unmanned or hard-to-reach installations, manual suits attended points, and the differential-pressure default drains on pressure drop. Choose the 5 um element (code W, fitted here) when downstream equipment needs finer air than the 40 um standard. Gauges come as an embedded square gauge or an external round gauge in MPa, psi or bar scales - this unit carries a round gauge reading bar. The thread here is NPT; PT is the standard and G (BSPP) is also an order option. A check valve is fitted (code K) and the mounting bracket is included. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one number we can honestly quote. Tell us your working pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
W sets the 5 um filter element, one grade finer than the 40 um standard, for applications that need cleaner air. A sets the automatic drain, which expels collected condensate on its own instead of waiting for a manual or differential-pressure drain. Both choices are available across the GFR400 size if you would prefer the alternatives.
