The AirTAC GFR400C10AJC2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G3/8, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C10AJC2G is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration carries a G3/8 port with G (BSPP) thread, an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without manual attention, a standard 40 um filter element, and a round pressure gauge reading in psi. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and no reverse/check valve is fitted. The polycarbonate bowl suits non-freezing installations from -5 to 70 C, with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, optional 5 um (code W) elements, manual or differential-pressure drains, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and G or NPT thread options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Positioned at the drop feeding a CNC machine's pneumatic clamps and tool-change cylinders, it strips condensate and chips-laden particles from the shop air and holds a steady regulated pressure so clamping force stays repeatable across shifts.
Mounted on the air drop serving a carton-forming and sealing conveyor, it cleans the compressed air feeding the cylinders and diverters and keeps their operating pressure stable as multiple stations cycle on the same header.
Fitted ahead of bench-mounted pneumatic test rigs and sample-handling fixtures, it removes water and particulate from the facility air and lets technicians set and read a precise regulated pressure on the psi gauge.
Size 400 with a G3/8 port sits in the upper-middle of the GFR range; step up to size 600 or down to 300 depending on the flow your line needs. Drain choice matters: this unit is automatic (code A), while differential-pressure (default) and manual (code M) drains are also available in the family. The 40 um element is standard; specify 5 um (W) if finer filtration is required. The round gauge here reads psi; embedded square gauges and MPa or bar scales are alternatives. Thread is G (BSPP) on this model, with PT standard and NPT available to order, and this configuration has no mounting bracket (code J).
Flow for GFR units is published as curves, not a single rated number, so send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet figures and correct sizing before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for GFR units as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the datasheet flow curves and check the sizing for you before you order.
The A in the code specifies an automatic drain, which ejects collected condensate on its own - useful on lines that are not attended daily. The GFR family also offers the differential-pressure drain (default) and a manual drain (code M) if you prefer to control draining yourself.
