The AirTAC GFR400C10AJF3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400 series combines water and particulate filtration with pressure regulation in a single body, so one unit both cleans the compressed air and sets a stable downstream pressure. This configuration carries a 3/8 in NPT port, an automatic drain that expels collected condensate from the bowl without anyone opening it by hand, a 40 um filter element, an embedded square gauge reading in bar, and a fitted reverse (check) valve. No mounting bracket is included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the regulator adjustment range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi); operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and options that include manual or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element (code W), alternative gauge scales (MPa, psi or bar), G or NPT thread variants and a low-pressure regulator type. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing and any datasheet figure for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Mounted at the drop of a bottling plant air ring main, the unit filters water and scale out of the supply and holds a set pressure to the filler and capper cylinders, while the automatic drain keeps condensate off the bowl during multi-shift running.
Feeding the diverter and pusher cylinders on a parcel sorting conveyor, the regulator pins the working pressure so gate stroke timing stays repeatable, and the check valve holds the downstream circuit if the upstream supply is interrupted.
Installed at the bench drop in a vehicle repair workshop, it cleans the shop air feeding impact wrenches and air ratchets and lets the technician set a lower, safer pressure at the point of use, read directly off the square bar gauge.
Choose the size and port step against the air demand of the circuit: this unit is a size 400 with a 3/8 in NPT port, one step up from the 300 series for lines that need more passage, and one step below the 600 for compact panels. Drain type is a real choice: automatic (as fitted here) suits unattended or hard-to-reach installations, manual suits points where an operator drains on a routine, and the differential-pressure default drains only when the pressure differential calls for it. The 40 um element is the standard grade for general plant air; specify the 5 um W option where downstream valves and instruments need finer filtration. The embedded square gauge in bar is fitted here; an external round gauge with MPa, psi or bar scale is available, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads can be ordered instead of the PT standard. A bracket is optional on this family, so plan the mounting if you need one.
One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes flow as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number here. Send us your application and we will confirm the correct size against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not state a flow number, Cv or SCFM value. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and sizing against the datasheet on request before you order.
This configuration carries code A, meaning an automatic drain that expels condensate from the bowl without manual attention - useful for unattended or hard-to-reach installations. The GFR400 series can also be ordered with a manual drain (code M) or the differential-pressure default (blank), and the adjustment range differs by drain type: 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) for automatic and differential-pressure drains, 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) for manual.
