The AirTAC GFR400C10ALC2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C10ALC2WT is a filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in one body, so a single unit removes water and particulate from the compressed air and holds the downstream pressure where the circuit needs it. This size 400 configuration is tapped 3/8 in NPT, carries a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two published grades), drains condensate automatically, and is fitted with a round pressure gauge scaled in psi. The regulator is the low-pressure type, and the unit includes a mounting bracket and a metal bowl. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um or 5 um filtration, standard or low-pressure regulation, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use air preparation for pneumatic cylinders and air tools at an automotive assembly cell: the 5 um element strips water and fine particulate before they reach the tools, while the regulator holds a steady supply pressure at the drop.
Conditioning the air feeding directional valves and conveyor stopper cylinders on a bottling line, where condensate in the supply causes sticky spools; the automatic drain keeps the bowl clear without a stop for manual draining.
Filtered, regulated air ahead of the spray-gun circuit on a low-pressure finishing line, where the low-pressure regulator type and fine 5 um element suit coating work that is sensitive to dirt and pressure drift.
Start with size and port: the 200 to 600 steps rise in port size and flow capacity, and this unit sits at size 400 with a 3/8 in NPT port - match the step to the air demand of the circuit rather than to the pipe alone. Then set the drain: automatic (as here) empties the bowl without operator attention, manual needs periodic draining, and the differential-pressure default drains on a pressure drop. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um (code W) as fitted here; the gauge can be the embedded square type or an external round gauge, scaled in MPa, psi or bar. Thread is PT as standard with G and NPT as order options, and the bracket can be included or omitted. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, send us your application and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and sizing from the datasheet on request.
This configuration drains condensate from the bowl automatically, so it keeps working without operator attention - useful on lines that run unattended. Manual drain needs periodic draining and the differential-pressure default drains on a pressure drop; all three are published options across the GFR family.
