GFR400C10ANWT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5 um

The AirTAC GFR400C10ANWT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR400C10ANWT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5 um

The AirTAC GFR400C10ANWT is a filter regulator: one body first removes water and particulate from compressed air, then regulates the downstream pressure. This size 400 configuration has a 3/8 in NPT port, the finer 5 um filter element, an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without manual attention, and a standard regulator adjustable from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi). The polycarbonate bowl suits non-freezing compressed air from -5 to 70 C, and no gauge is fitted with this code.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, and with decodable choices of thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order), drain type, filter grade and gauge. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GFR400G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range.
C1Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR400C10ANWT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5 um Is Used

factory

Pneumatic press clamping line

Filtered, regulated air feeds the clamping and hold-down cylinders on a production press, with the 5 um element protecting seals and valves and the regulator holding a steady working pressure at the machine.

conveyor_belt

Packaging conveyor actuation

Air cylinders that push, divert and sort packs on a conveyor line draw clean, moisture-reduced air at a set pressure, while the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the bowl without daily attention.

science

Laboratory test-rig air supply

Bench-scale pneumatic test rigs and fixtures take instrument air through the 5 um element, with the regulator trimmed to the low, stable pressure the rig requires for repeatable results.

Is the GFR400C10ANWT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5 um the Right Unit?

Size and port set the air capacity: step up from 200 through 300, 400 and 600 as your flow demand grows, and match the port - here 3/8 in NPT - to your piping. Choose the drain: automatic (fitted on this unit) for unattended condensate removal, manual for periodic draining, or the default differential-pressure type. Choose the element grade: 40 um standard or 5 um (code W) for finer protection - this configuration carries the 5 um element. Gauges, gauge scales, PT/G/NPT threads and brackets are all catalogue options; this code has no gauge fitted and includes a mounting bracket. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (See datasheet here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR400C10ANWT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5 um FAQ

AirTAC publishes G-series flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and the full datasheet figures for this unit on request.

This configuration is ordered without a gauge (code N). GFR units can instead be specified with an embedded square gauge or an external round gauge in MPa, psi or bar scales - tell us which you need and we will quote the correct code.
