GFR400C10C2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/8, 5 um

The AirTAC GFR400C10C2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/8, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR400C10C2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/8, 5 um

The GFR400C10C2WT is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady, in a single body. This configuration is built around a 3/8 in NPT port, the 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), a differential-pressure drain on the bowl and a round pressure gauge reading in psi. Regulated output spans 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the polycarbonate bowl suits the non-freezing -5 to 70 C operating window.

This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR series, which spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in. Across the range you can order manual or automatic drains instead of the differential-pressure drain, the 40 um standard element instead of 5 um, the embedded square gauge or round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, G (BSPP) or NPT threads in place of the PT standard, and a no-bracket variant. We confirm flow and other datasheet figures on request, since flow is published as curves rather than a single rating.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

C1Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR400C10C2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/8, 5 um Is Used

precision_manufacturing

CNC machining cell air prep

Feeding clean, regulated air to a CNC machine tool's clamping cylinders and tool-change actuators, with the 5 um element helping protect directional valve spools from particles and water carryover.

factory

Packaging line sealing station

Supplying steady pressure to carton-forming and heat-seal cylinders on a packaging line, where a drifting supply pressure shows up directly as inconsistent seals.

conveyor_belt

Conveyor diverter gates

Regulating air to pop-up diverters and gate cylinders along a conveyor sortation line, with filtered air keeping the small pilot valves cycling cleanly shift after shift.

Is the GFR400C10C2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/8, 5 um the Right Unit?

Start with size and port: GFR400 is the 400 frame, here with a 3/8 in NPT port, and the right step depends on the flow your line needs. Then set the options that matter: this unit carries the 5 um element (order 40 um where only coarse water and chip removal is needed), the differential-pressure drain (automatic and manual drains are orderable), and a round psi gauge (the embedded square gauge and MPa or bar scales are the alternatives). Thread is NPT here; PT is the standard and G (BSPP) is the other order option, and the mounting bracket is included. Regulation range with this drain type is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). Because flow is published as curves, not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against the application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (See datasheet here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR400C10C2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/8, 5 um FAQ

Flow for the GFR400 is published in the AirTAC catalogue as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the flow and sizing from the datasheet on request.

The GFR400 is available with a 40 um standard element or the finer 5 um element (code W), and this configuration carries the 5 um grade. Choose 5 um where downstream valves and cylinders need finer protection; 40 um is the usual choice for general water and chip removal.
