AirTAC GFR400 · Filter Regulator (filter + regulator in one body)

GFR400C10F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G3/8, 40 um

The AirTAC GFR400C10F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G3/8, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR400C10F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G3/8, 40 um

The AirTAC GFR400C10F2G is a filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your setpoint. This size 400 unit has a G3/8 port, the standard 40 um filter element, a polycarbonate bowl with a differential-pressure drain that bleeds condensate automatically as air flows through, and a standard regulator adjustable from 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with an embedded square gauge scaled in psi. Max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), a mounting bracket is included, and no reverse/check valve is fitted.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports stepping from 1/8 to 1 inch, and options including a 5 um element (code W), automatic or manual drains, different gauge scales, and PT/G/NPT threads. Rated flow is published as curves rather than a single figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GFR400G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range.
C1Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

precision_manufacturing

CNC machining cell air drop

Conditioning the compressed-air drop that feeds pneumatic clamps, tool-changer cylinders and chip-clearing nozzles on a CNC machining center, with the setpoint read locally on the psi gauge.

conveyor_belt

Packaging line actuation

Supplying clean, regulated air to carton-sealing cylinders, diverters and pick-and-place actuators along a packaging conveyor, where the 40 um element protects directional valves from grit and condensed water.

factory

Assembly station air tools

Feeding impact drivers, nutrunners and air cylinders at assembly stations, holding a set pressure at each station so tool and cylinder behavior stays repeatable through the shift.

Is the GFR400C10F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G3/8, 40 um the Right Unit?

Choose the size and port against the flow your line needs: size 400 with a 3/8 in port sits mid-range in the GFR family, which steps from 200 up to 600 as ports grow from 1/8 to 1 inch. Drain comes as differential-pressure (this unit, standard), automatic (code A) or manual (code M); the element is 40 um standard or 5 um with code W; the gauge is an embedded square gauge with MPa, psi or bar scales, and an external round gauge is optional. Thread is G on this unit, with PT as the standard family thread and G/NPT as order options; a bracket is included unless code J is specified. Because rated flow is published as curves rather than a single number, send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (See datasheet here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR400C10F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G3/8, 40 um FAQ

AirTAC publishes GFR400 flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one l/min or SCFM number we can quote honestly. Send us your required flow and working pressure and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.

This unit's drain is the differential-pressure type: it bleeds condensate from the bowl automatically as air flows through, with no operator action. If your line has low or intermittent flow, an automatic drain (code A) or a manual drain (code M) can be ordered instead.
