The AirTAC GFR400C10JF2 AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in PT, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400 series combines water and particulate filtration with downstream pressure regulation in a single body, so one 400-size unit both cleans the compressed air and holds a steady set pressure for the equipment it feeds. This GFR400C10JF2 is configured with a 3/8 in PT port, the standard 40 um filter element, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate whenever the pressure differential across the element is high enough, an embedded square pressure gauge reading in psi, and the standard (not low-pressure) regulator. It is ordered without a mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the set-pressure range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. The polycarbonate bowl suits the 400 size; only the 600 size uses an aluminium alloy bowl.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and each size can be ordered with a different drain type, a 5 um element (code W), a square or round gauge in MPa, psi or bar scales, G (BSPP) or NPT threads instead of PT, and with or without a bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm flow and other datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a carton-forming and case-packing conveyor line, this filter regulator sits at the drop feeding the cylinder manifolds, removing water and pipe scale at 40 um and holding a fixed set pressure so clamp and pusher cylinders cycle consistently through the shift.
At a paint or coating booth, the unit cleans the compressed air feeding the spray guns and lets the operator dial in the gun supply pressure on the psi gauge, with the differential-pressure drain clearing accumulated condensate as the element loads up.
On a CNC machining centre or pneumatic press, the GFR400C10JF2 conditions the air going to workholding clamps and the tool-change circuit, keeping the regulated pressure stable so part clamping force does not drift as the compressor cycles.
Start with the port and size step: 400 size with a 3/8 in PT port sits in the middle of the GFR range, so step up to 600 or down to 300 depending on the flow your line needs - and because flow is published as curves, not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your actual air demand before ordering. Next choose the drain: this unit uses the differential-pressure drain (the default), while automatic (code A) and manual (code M) drains are order options if you prefer timed or hands-on condensate removal. The standard element is 40 um; specify the W option for a 5 um element where finer filtration is needed. This unit ships configured with a square gauge on a psi scale; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order, and a mounting bracket can be added if the code is ordered without the J option.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or l/min number. Tell us your port size and the air demand of your application and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet curves on request before you order.
This GFR400C10JF2 uses the differential-pressure drain, the default option: collected condensate is discharged automatically when the pressure drop across the 40 um element rises high enough, with no operator action needed. If you would rather have a continuously automatic drain or a manual drain you operate yourself, the same 400-size filter regulator can be ordered with drain codes A (automatic) or M (manual).
