GFR400C10LC3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT

The AirTAC GFR400C10LC3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR400C10LC3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT

The GFR400C10LC3WT is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in a single body. This configuration is built around a 3/8 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two published grades) and a differential-pressure drain that removes collected condensate without manual intervention. The regulator is the low-pressure type, and a round gauge with a bar scale is fitted so the set pressure can be read directly. The bowl on this unit is metal, a mounting bracket is included, and no reverse/check valve is fitted. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans four sizes (200, 300, 400 and 600) with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, offered with a choice of drain type, filter grade, gauge style and scale, thread (PT standard; G and NPT to order) and bracket. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GFR400G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range.
C1Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR400C10LC3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT Is Used

tune

Paint-line atomizing air

On a spray-coating line, the 5 um element polishes the air feeding atomizing nozzles while the low-pressure regulator holds a gentle, stable setting for consistent finish quality.

science

Laboratory test-rig air prep

Benchtop rigs and laboratory actuators often run below standard line pressure; the low-pressure regulator and fitted bar gauge let a technician set and read the working pressure directly.

conveyor_belt

Packaging conveyor actuation

Sorting and packaging conveyors use air cylinders for pushers and diverters; this unit filters that supply to 5 um and regulates it in one body at the machine drop.

Is the GFR400C10LC3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT the Right Unit?

The real choices within the GFR family are the size and port step (200 through 600, 1/8 in to 1 in), matched to the air demand of your line; the drain type (differential-pressure as fitted here, automatic, or manual); the filter grade (40 um standard, or 5 um with the W code as on this unit); the gauge (embedded square as standard, external round optional, in MPa, psi or bar scales); the thread (PT is the standard, G and NPT are order options); and the bracket. This unit is also the low-pressure regulator type. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (See datasheet here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR400C10LC3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one number we can quote. Tell us your operating pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.

The GFR family is offered with a 40 um standard element or a 5 um element ordered with the W code; this model carries the 5 um grade. Choose it when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need finer filtration than the standard element provides.
