The AirTAC GFR400C10MF2G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G3/8, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C10MF2G is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration carries a G3/8 (BSPP) port, a manual drain bowl, the standard 40 um filter element, and an embedded square gauge scaled in psi, so operators can read and set line pressure directly at the unit. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulator adjustment range for this manual-drain version is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of port sizes, PT (standard), G or NPT threads, manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element option (code W), gauge scale options, and a reverse/check valve option. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing or any datasheet figure for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, pressure-regulated air to a pneumatic press cylinder, with the operator setting and reading the working pressure in psi on the square gauge and draining accumulated water manually at shift checks.
Conditioning the air supply to a packaging machine's directional-valve manifold: the 40 um element keeps particulate out of the valves while the regulator holds a stable setting for consistent sealing and forming strokes.
A point-of-use filter regulator at a spray booth air drop, removing water and pipe scale from the shop air line and letting the finisher dial in the recommended atomising pressure before the hose to the gun.
Size 400 with a 3/8 in port sits in the middle of the GFR range: step up to 600 or down to 300/200 depending on the pipe size and air demand of the circuit, and match the thread to your plumbing - PT is the standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available as order options. The manual drain on this unit means someone must open the bowl drain periodically; choose an automatic or differential-pressure drain code instead if the installation is unattended. The standard 40 um element suits general plant air; specify the 5 um W option where finer filtration is needed. The fitted square gauge here reads in psi; MPa and bar scales are also available, and an external round gauge is an option. A mounting bracket is included with this code.
Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, we do not quote a flow number here - send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number. Send us your application details - line pressure, downstream demand and acceptable pressure drop - and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in GFR400C10MF2G specifies a manual drain: accumulated condensate is emptied by opening the bowl drain, which suits attended installations on regular maintenance rounds. If the unit will sit unattended, order the same size with the A (automatic) code instead, or the default differential-pressure drain, and note that the manual-drain version also carries the wider 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) adjustment range.
