GFR400C10MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator, 3/8 in NPT

The AirTAC GFR400C10MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator, 3/8 in NPT is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR400C10MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator, 3/8 in NPT

The GFR400C10MF2T is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady in a single body. This size 400 unit is supplied with a 3/8 in NPT port, a manual drain on the polycarbonate bowl, a standard 40 um filter element, and a built-in square gauge reading in psi. The regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the unit is rated for a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi) at -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G-series filter regulator line spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, and options including automatic or manual drains, a 5 um filter element (code W), G (BSPP) or NPT threads in place of the PT standard, and an external round gauge. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GFR400G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range.
C1Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR400C10MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator, 3/8 in NPT Is Used

precision_manufacturing

Pneumatic stamping press

Feeding a benchtop pneumatic stamping or riveting press: the element strips water and scale from the shop-air drop while the regulator holds the cylinder pressure the operator has set, with the psi gauge giving a direct reading at the machine.

conveyor_belt

Carton-sealing packaging line

Supplying the flap-fold and taping cylinders on a carton-sealing conveyor line: filtered, regulated air supports consistent case closing through the shift, and the manual drain suits a line that is blown down during end-of-day cleanup.

settings_input_component

Pick-and-place robot grippers

Conditioning air to a pick-and-place module with vacuum ejectors and gripper cylinders: the 3/8 in NPT port matches the machine's air drop, and the regulator lets gripper pressure be tuned locally without touching the plant supply header.

Is the GFR400C10MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator, 3/8 in NPT the Right Unit?

Size 400 with a 3/8 in NPT port sits in the middle of the G-series range; step up to 600 or down to 300 or 200 if your line needs more or less capacity - we will confirm the flow curves against your demand before you order. Drain choice matters: this unit has a manual drain, so the bowl is emptied by hand on a routine; choose the automatic drain option if the installation runs unattended. The standard element is 40 um; specify code W for 5 um where finer filtration is needed. The fitted square gauge reads psi; MPa and bar scales are available, and an external round gauge is optional. Threads are ordered as G (BSPP) or NPT against the PT standard, and a mounting bracket is included.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (See datasheet here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR400C10MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator, 3/8 in NPT FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Send us your line pressure, downstream demand and acceptable pressure drop, and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet before you order.

The M in the code means the polycarbonate bowl is drained by hand, which suits attended installations on a routine drain schedule. The same GFR400 body is available with an automatic drain or the differential-pressure drain if the point of use is not checked daily - ask us and we will quote the variant.
