GFR400C10MF2TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8

The AirTAC GFR400C10MF2TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR400C10MF2TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8

The GFR400C10MF2TK is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 400 unit has a 3/8 in NPT port, a manual drain on the polycarbonate bowl, a 40 um standard filter element, an embedded square gauge reading in psi, a fitted reverse (check) valve and a mounting bracket. The standard regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), the maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, in PT, G and NPT threads, with manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, and MPa, psi or bar gauge scales. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR400C10MF2TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8

GFR400G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range.
C1Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR400C10MF2TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Is Used

precision_manufacturing

CNC machining cell air prep

Filtering and regulating the supply to pneumatic clamps and tool-change cylinders on a CNC machining centre, with the check valve holding downstream pressure if the shop supply dips.

factory

Packaging line actuation

Supplying clean, regulated air to carton-forming, filling and sealing cylinders on a packaging line, with the manual drain bled during shift-start checks.

conveyor_belt

Conveyor diverters and stoppers

Powering stopper and diverter cylinders on a warehouse conveyor sortation line, where the psi gauge lets maintenance set line pressure at a glance.

Is the GFR400C10MF2TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 the Right Unit?

Size 400 with a 3/8 in port sits in the middle of the G-series range; step up to 600 or down to 300/200 as your air demand requires. The manual drain on this unit suits installations where an operator can bleed the bowl during a routine walk-round; choose automatic or differential-pressure drain codes where the unit is hard to reach. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the W code for 5 um where finer protection matters. The square gauge here reads psi, with MPa and bar scales also available and an external round gauge optional. PT is the standard thread and G and NPT are order options - this unit is built with NPT. A bracket is included, and the K code adds a reverse (check) valve. Because flow is published as curves, not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (See datasheet here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR400C10MF2TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 FAQ

Flow for the GFR400 is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your supply pressure and the air demand of your cylinders or tools, and we will confirm the sizing from the AirTAC datasheet on request.

M is the manual drain: you bleed accumulated water from the bowl by hand on a routine schedule instead of relying on an automatic or differential-pressure drain. K means a reverse (check) valve is fitted, which helps hold downstream pressure if the upstream supply is interrupted.
