The AirTAC GFR400C10MJC2WG AirTAC Filter Regulator G3/8, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C10MJC2WG is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration carries a G3/8 (BSPP) port, a 5 um filter element (code W) for finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade, a manual drain for the polycarbonate bowl, and an external round gauge with a psi scale for direct setpoint reading. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulator covers 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with manual drain, and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). No mounting bracket is included (code J).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drain, 40 um standard or 5 um fine filtration, embedded square or external round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |

| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Cleaning and regulating the shop-air feed to tool changers, clamps and pneumatic actuators on a machining centre, with the 5 um element protecting fine control valves from particles and carryover water.
Conditioning the air feeding the cylinders and grippers of a carton sealing or case-packing station, holding a steady regulated pressure so seal and fold actions repeat consistently through the shift.
Supplying filtered, regulated air to the diverters, stoppers and pushers along a conveyor system, with the psi round gauge letting maintenance set and verify line pressure at the point of use.
Size 400 with a G3/8 port suits lines where a 3/8 inch air supply matches your consumption; step up or down a size if your flow demand differs - we can check the curve against your application. The 5 um element (W code) is the right choice when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade. Manual drain means an operator opens the drain at intervals; choose automatic drain if the unit is mounted where regular access is impractical. The round psi gauge gives direct readout in US units; square embedded gauges and MPa or bar scales are also available. Thread here is G (BSPP); PT is the standard thread and NPT is an order option. No bracket is fitted (J code) - order one separately if panel or wall mounting is needed. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the relevant flow and sizing data from the datasheet on request before you order.
This unit has a manual drain (code M): an operator opens the drain periodically to expel collected water, which suits accessible mounting points on a regular maintenance round. If the unit will sit in a hard-to-reach spot, choose the automatic drain (code A) or the differential-pressure drain (blank code) variant instead. Note that the manual-drain version also has the wider 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) regulation range.
