The AirTAC GFR400C10MJC2WK AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/8, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady, in one body. This configuration is the size 400 unit with a 3/8 in PT port, a polycarbonate (PC) bowl with manual drain, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), a round pressure gauge reading in psi, and a built-in check valve that holds the downstream side when the upstream supply is removed. It is supplied without a mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and is offered with manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, square or round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, an optional check valve, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads as order options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing and the full datasheet for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use filtration and regulation at each machining cell: the 5 um element protects solenoid valves and cylinders from water and swarf-carrying condensate, the regulator is set to the circuit's working pressure, and the check valve holds the downstream setting when the main supply is shut off.
Filtered, regulated air for the pick-and-place and sealing cylinders on a bottling or cartoning line. The manual drain bowl is emptied at shift start, and the psi gauge lets maintenance set and verify line pressure without extra instruments.
A steady, clean air feed for spray guns and air-assisted applicators in a finishing booth: the 5 um element helps keep water and particles out of the finish, while the regulator holds the gun supply at the pressure the process calls for.
The real choices in this family are size and port, drain type, filter grade, gauge and thread. Step from size 200 up to 600 as your port and air demand grow; this unit is size 400 with a 3/8 in PT port. Drains: manual (this unit, emptied by hand), automatic, or differential-pressure. Filter grade: 40 um standard, 5 um (this unit) for finer protection of downstream components. Gauge: an embedded square gauge is standard, an external round gauge is optional, in MPa, psi or bar scales; this unit carries a round psi gauge. Thread: PT is standard on this code, with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order. A mounting bracket is optional and not included here. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes filter-regulator flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one number we can honestly quote for this unit. Send us your required flow and working pressure and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet on request.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain: the bowl is emptied by hand, which suits installations that are shut down regularly. The same GFR family is also available with automatic or differential-pressure drains for lines that cannot rely on manual draining.
