GFR400C10MJC2WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8

The AirTAC GFR400C10MJC2WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR400C10MJC2WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8

The AirTAC GFR400C10MJC2WTK is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration is built with a 3/8 in NPT port, a fine 5 um filter element, a manual drain bowl, a round pressure gauge reading in psi, and a reverse/check valve that holds downstream pressure if the upstream supply drops. No mounting bracket is fitted, so plan to pipe-mount or source a bracket separately.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of drain type, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge style and scale, and PT, G or NPT threads. AirTAC publishes flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GFR400G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range.
C1Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR400C10MJC2WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Is Used

precision_manufacturing

CNC machining centre air supply

Feeding tool-clamp and coolant-mist circuits on a machining centre, where the 5 um element protects precision valves and the regulator holds a steady setting shift after shift.

conveyor_belt

Packaging line actuator supply

Regulating clean air to carton-forming and sealing cylinders on a packaging conveyor, with the check valve holding the set pressure if the plant compressor unloads.

factory

Robotics cell gripper control

Supplying regulated air to gripper and pick-and-place actuators in a robotic cell, where the psi gauge lets technicians verify setpoints during changeover.

Is the GFR400C10MJC2WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 the Right Unit?

Size 400 with a 3/8 in port sits in the middle-upper part of the GFR range; step up to size 600 or down to 300 depending on the flow your line needs - we can check the published flow curves against your demand before you order. This unit has the 5 um element (code W) rather than the 40 um standard, which suits downstream valves, cylinders and instruments that need cleaner air. The manual drain means an operator opens the bowl drain during checks; if nobody is on site regularly, consider an automatic or differential-pressure drain variant instead. The round gauge reads in psi; square embedded gauges and MPa or bar scales are alternatives. Thread here is NPT; PT and G (BSPP) versions exist if your piping standard differs. This unit ships without a bracket (code J) - order one if you want panel or surface mounting.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (See datasheet here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR400C10MJC2WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so there is no one figure we can quote honestly. Send us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the datasheet and check the curves against your application on request.

This configuration carries the M drain code, meaning condensate is released by opening the bowl drain by hand during routine checks. It suits lines with regular operator presence. If the unit will run unattended, ask about the automatic or differential-pressure drain variants of the same GFR400 size.
