GFR400C10MJC3T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8

The AirTAC GFR400C10MJC3T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR400C10MJC3T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8

The AirTAC GFR400C10MJC3T is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration has a 3/8 in NPT port, a 40 um standard filter element, a manual drain bowl, and an external round pressure gauge with a bar scale. The standard regulator covers a 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) setting range, and maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and this unit is ordered without a mounting bracket.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and with choices of drain type, filter grade (40 um standard, 5 um with code W), gauge style and scale, thread (PT standard, G and NPT as options), and bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm flow and datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GFR400G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range.
C1Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Is the GFR400C10MJC3T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 the Right Unit?

Size 400 with a 3/8 in port sits in the middle of the GFR range; step up to 600 or down to 300/200 depending on the flow your line needs. Drain type is a real choice: manual (this unit, and it widens the regulation range to 0.05-0.9 MPa), automatic, or the differential-pressure default. Filter grade is 40 um standard; specify code W for 5 um where finer filtration is needed. Gauge options are the embedded square gauge or an external round gauge, with MPa, psi or bar scales - this unit carries the round gauge with a bar scale. Thread is PT as standard with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options; this unit is NPT. Brackets are optional and not included here. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (See datasheet here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR400C10MJC3T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures on request before you order.

The M in the code selects a manual drain: condensate is emptied by hand rather than automatically. For this configuration the regulator setting range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). If you prefer unattended drainage, the same size is available with automatic or differential-pressure drain - ask us for those codes.
