The AirTAC GFR400C10MJF2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G3/8, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400 series is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady, all in a single body. This unit is the size 400 configuration with a G3/8 (BSPP) female port, a 40 um standard filter element, a manual drain and an embedded square pressure gauge reading in psi. With the manual drain, the regulation range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi); maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The bowl on this size is polycarbonate (PC), the unit is supplied without a mounting bracket (a bracket is available as an option), and no reverse/check valve is fitted.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family runs from size 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and options across the family include automatic or differential-pressure drains, a finer 5 um element (code W), gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads in place of the PT standard. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing or any datasheet figure for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Start with size and port: this unit is size 400 with a 3/8 in port; larger sizes in the family carry larger ports and more flow, and the published flow curves - not a single rating - are the reference, so let us confirm the match against your air consumption before you order. Drain type is a real choice: this configuration is manual drain, which also gives the wider 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) regulation range, while automatic and differential-pressure drain versions regulate 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). Filter grade is 40 um as fitted here, with 5 um (code W) where finer filtration is needed. The embedded square gauge reads in psi; MPa and bar scales are alternatives, and an external round gauge is optional. On thread, this unit is G (BSPP); PT is the standard thread and G and NPT are order options. A mounting bracket is optional - this configuration is supplied without one. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against the application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Send us your air consumption and line pressure and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
Manual drain means the drain valve is opened periodically to clear the water collected in the bowl. On this configuration it also gives the wider 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) regulation range; automatic and differential-pressure drain versions regulate 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi).
